Loud, clear and cooler
Aiming to provide better sound, less noise and less heat, PA Strong
has introduced its PDA Series of public address speaker amplifiers at ISE.
The company specialises in development of devices for use in professional public-addresssystems, such as amplifiers, mixer amplifiers, routers and zone paging systems. The new PDA Series is multi-functional and power efficient, using Class D technology with a high-performance audio transformer for varying output power at 100V.
It can output one or multiple channels.
"With a new modern 1 HU, 48cm (19in) design, we have succeeded in improving PA functions such as telephone / emergency call, paging calls, PTT, microphone vox and BGM ducking," said the company.
To improve functionality, some models are also equipped with built-in audio source players; and audio has been improved by using DSP technology, giving greater depth of sound."
Using a switching power mode supply and Class D, power efficiency can reach some 80%, the company claims.
